Bio:

Erika’s family were Stole-aways who were caught out by monsters when she was a little girl, but by fate or divine intervention she was saved by a cleric called Harbinger. Dragged along as an almost squire to Harbinger, Erika learned what she could of the god Harbinger worshiped but sadly Harbinger’s beliefs and those of the main temple generally didn’t align. Often called insane in her zeal for justice and order, Harbinger often opposed the temple’s higher-ups, sometimes bringing forth their crimes and dragging them out to be judged which tended to make others nervous throughout the ranks. Eventually the two came to trust one another enough to learn each other’s True Names. Sara (she never gave a last name) and Erika were sent out to protect/evangelize to more and more distant outposts. Eventually getting to Allerrion’s Crag a tiny settlement with some religious significance in the mountains. Sara repeated sent word that monsters were building up in the area, that they would not last long without reinforcements. No reinforcements ever came. Erika barely made it out alive, Sara succumbing to her poisoned wounds during the retreat. Leaving Erika with a burning hatred for the main temple of her religion. Jumping aboard a passing train she made for the nearest settlement and pulled herself back together, then joined the militia working as a healer. For a while she served before rumors of her being alive reached the temple and some of those higher up whispered in the right ears. She was ‘offered’ early retirement from service and so found herself in Avinar.
